Loy Sneary
Loy is a successful business development consultant and rancher. He served as County Judge for several years before twice running for Congress. In his consulting role he works with new and startup businesses to develop sound strategic and financing plans. He has been a consultant to a national media consulting and crisis management firm where he conducted spokesperson training, media relations training and crisis management for Oil & Gas companies, nuclear power plants and large hospitals throughout Texas and the Mid-West.
Loy is currently President and CEO of Gulf Coast Green Energy, a representative for the ElectraTherm Power+ Generator. In his role at GCGE he took the company from start up to becoming a leader in the new Waste Heat-to-Power industry. Loy and his Team took the new technology to market and reached prospects and customers across several industries in the US and Caribbean.
Sneary is a member of the Pew Charitable Trusts Clean Energy Business Network (Pew) and the Heat is Power Association (HiP). Along with Pew and HiP, Loy has met with and educated members of the US Congress and several state legislators, as well as trade and professional organizations about the new Waste Heat-to-Power (WHP) fuel and emissions free technology.
He has met with several Washington D.C. DOE and DOD officials and Texas and North Dakota regulatory officials to educate them about the merits of the waste heat-to-power and successfully gained their support.
His focus at GCGE is on O&G companies and industrial facilities around the country and he’s learned about their various challenges and needs which then led to first-of-their-kind projects. The projects have increased energy efficiency, optimization and practical solutions for those industries. Deployment of the ElectraTherm equipment has added profit and reduced emissions while generating power from what was previously wasted.
Loy also provides consulting services for agricultural and rural landowners through his land management company Windmill Farms.
Loy is an Eagle Scout and graduated from Texas A&M University. He served his country in the United States Navy for six years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant. He lives in Bay City, Texas and he and his wife Helen have two children and three grandsons.
